Child Safety Standards
Dogs Out · Last updated: August 2026
Our position
Dogs Out has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content that sexualises a minor, solicits a minor, or promotes or facilitates the abuse or exploitation of children is prohibited without exception, in profiles, photos, dog profiles, playdates and private messages alike.
Accounts found to be involved in such material or behaviour are terminated immediately and permanently. We do not issue warnings for it.
Dogs Out is for adults only
Dogs Out is intended solely for people aged 18 and over. Everyone must give a date of birth when creating a profile, and a date of birth showing the person is under 18 is rejected by our servers, not merely by the app. Minors are not permitted to use the service.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it and delete the associated data.
How to report
Anyone can report a user directly in the app:
- Open the chat with that person.
- Tap the ••• menu in the top right.
- Choose Report, then select Child safety and describe what you saw. On older versions of the app, choose Safety concern instead.
Reports are confidential — the person reported is never told who reported them. You can also block someone from the same menu, which hides you from each other in both directions.
To report CSAE without using the app, or to reach us about anything on this page, email help@dogsout.app. Reports concerning children are treated as urgent and take priority over everything else in the queue.
What we do with a report
- Every report is reviewed by a person. Reports involving a child are handled first.
- Offending content is removed and the account is terminated.
- We preserve the relevant account data and content as evidence rather than deleting it, so it can be handed to the authorities.
- We report suspected child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities, as required by Swiss law, and cooperate with any resulting investigation.
- Where the platform allows, we act on reports within 24 hours.
